Author: Susanne Valenti

Number of pages: EBook, 242

About the book:

In a world she never knew existed, Maya is coming to terms with how much her life has changed. Danger lurks around every corner, nothing is as she expects and she’s never felt so alive. But the choices she makes could change everything and jeopardise the things she cherishes most. There is so much to learn and so much to love but her heart is pulling her back. The Guardians are hiding in the shadow cast by their Wall, concealing the truth from the people inside. It’s a shadow that darkens her happiness and she can’t stop fighting until the truth comes to light. It would be easier to walk away but Maya has never run from anything and she’s not about to start now.

My Review:

Maya, Laurie and Taylor undergo rigorous training under Hunter and it was commendable seeing them adapting so well in the real outside world. Maya always proves her worth in almost every difficult situation. I really admire Maya as a strong and confident person. And her romance and chemistry with Coal is just enviable. But Taylor proves to be a roadblock in all their romantic encounters, which was a bit frustrating for me. I wish, Taylor finds his true love in the next series.

The first book ‘Chained’ kept me hooked to it and the second in the series ‘Linked’, had a hypnotizing effect on me. It made me love Maya, Coal and Alicia, even more. But the last few pages made me cry and when I read it the second time, I cried again. It was a devastating end and now I am hoping that something good will come in the next series. A book written in a simple way, which is full of adventures, twists and turns, and it will never let you feel bored even a little.

I loved this book and I am hoping that all the other books in the series are also similarly enjoyable. Hats off to the author, you have reignited the reading passion in me.

My Rating: 4.5/5
