Healthy child, Happy family

Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man – Rabindranath Tagore

Children are the future of any country. If the children are healthy and happy, they will become healthy and happy youths in future and work for the development of their country. When a baby is born, with the baby there takes place the birth of a mother and father. They are the world of the child. The basis of a child’s behaviour, character is laid down by his family which generally includes his parents and grandparents. Children are very vulnerable at this tender age, be it physical, emotional, psychological and even health wise.

Till the children are within the comfort and confines of the four walls of their house, they are safe. They are taken care of properly by family members. But the problem arises when the kids start going to play school and they start interacting and coming in contact with other children and adults. As the immune system of such small children is not so strong, even one kid having cold, cough or any other contagious disease means many other kids will also get infected.

A healthy and happy child in a family makes other members also happy. An innocent kid can brighten up even your gloomy day with his acts, gestures and questions. A child with his antics can even make an angry and furious person smile. There is nothing better than seeing your child play happily. It brings inner peace, your child lets you relive and enjoy the childhood days.
But what happens if the apple of your eye gets severe cold and cough or fever or viral fever. The whole jovial environment of your household becomes gloomy. Every family member is tensed about the kid’s health and his recovery. You have to make rounds of doctor’s clinic, you have to give bitter medicines to him which itself is a big task. And it goes on for many days. It does not happen once but this cycle goes on and on as their immune system is weak.

Now my son has not started play school, but very soon he will start and I am worried about his health. Once within 1.5 months my son caught viral fever twice and that too it was sudden. Always his fevers would be accompanied with continuous vomiting and at last by loose motion. These things went on for 6-7 days and eventually he lost his hard gained weight, already he is on the very leaner side. Once it happened at night and unfortunately we didn’t have any medicine, hubby had to go out to a chemist’s shop at midnight to get the same. We gave him fever meds and now started his vomiting series. That whole night we couldn’t sleep and in the morning we took him to his doctor. But such seasonal diseases take a toll on kid’s health.

At this small age, it is quite difficult to strengthen your kid’s immune system because the kids are very fussy eaters. My kid is the same, he just likes sweet and junk things. They don’t get all the required nutrition from their diet. So they need supplements to meet their daily requirements of nutrition. One such supplement which I have known from many years is Dabur Chyawanprash, which is a time-tested and an age-old formulation. It includes ingredients like amla or Indian gooseberry which is rich source of vitamin C, helpful in improving the immune system. It also includes one of the best anti-oxidants, Giloy (Guduchi), known for its immuno-modulatory properties and many other natural ingredients. It’s proven that it strengthens the immune system. It not only improves your immunity but improves it 3 times. It is very much-needed in today’s world as the bacterias and viruses are getting stronger day by day.

If you want your child to be healthy and happy, then you will surely give Dabur Chyawanprash to your children. Now my child is small but once he is a little older I am surely going to start Dabur Chyawanprash for him because I want my baby and eventually my family to be happy.

  1. Namaste. πŸ™‚ I’ve read some of Rabindranath Tagore in high school…I remember he said that people belong to the stream of life even before birth. He’s very philosophical and intelligent.

It is truly hard to strengthen a baby’s immune system. I’ve read somewhere that male babies are more frail than female ones but when they grow up they are stronger than females. My son too got fever twice when he was two years old and at one point, because his fever just wouldn’t go down, the pediatrician told us to place him in a bathtub of chilled water with ice cubes. It helped bring his fever down.

I like your recommendation of supplements for children, even if it isn’t available in other countries. It’s nice to read about these things.
